Stepping Stones of Leadership

Steps of Leadership

The author of the book “Stepping Stones of Leadership” describes his learning experiences as he transitioned from a tester on an assembly floor to VP of Operations. One of his principles was to be open to the people. Surprisingly, when he was in management, he found out the staff didn’t always believe him.

The book consists of 12 steps that he believes will show the way in becoming an effective leader. In each step, he uses examples and stories in an effort to support his position.

Additionally, there is a 13th stepping stone called “Basic Things a New Leader Should Know”. It is a quick summary to help individuals that have been promoted to supervision that do not have any leadership experiences.

The following video explains why one should read the book and what they will learn.

Available on Amazon as a paperbook or for a Kindle

Some people are born to be leaders. Others don’t want the responsibility. I know I was born to be a leader and when I read Jim Zelem’s book “Stepping Stones of Leadership,” I knew I finally had the instructions on how to become a leader on my job.
